County: Iowa Acres to restore: 40 Located upstream from two prior WWA wetland and stream restorations this floodplain restoration will have substantial impacts to the project area and prior projects. On an unnamed tributary to the east branch of the Pecatonica River sedimentation is the primary focus. Removal of sediment will enhance the streams function and the interaction with the floodplain. This will result in wetlands that have be filled and isolated to function and intereact with ground water and flood events. Important in itself this restoration will also be valuable to helping maintain the down stream restoration completed in this area. This site is located at the dead end of Langberry Rd. Langberry Rd is about 1 mile south of HWY 151 on CTY K in Brigham township. CTY K is about 1 mile east of Barneveld. |
