Project: Van Beek
County: Rock Acres to Restore: 40 This project is located within the Rock River watershed. A mix of abandoned agricultural fields, oak savanna and degraded wetlands comprise this project site. Ditches of varying sizes have partially drained and changed the hydrology of the wetland basins. Filling ditches and removing invasive vegetation will restore the hydrology of the site creating mix of open water and nesting habitat for wildlife. This project is located off of CTY D in the Town of Afton between Janesville and Beloit. |
