Abrams Property Profiled in On Wisconsin Outdoors - January, 2012 Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held November 17, 2011
WWA's Abrams Property Work Featured on NBC and Fox News
On Friday, November 4, 2011 students enrolled in the natural resources program at Fox Valley Tech in Appleton joined WWA members at the WWA-owned public recreation property, located just east of the split of US 41 and US141, in Abrams (Oconto County), to prune trees, remove brush, and mount identification signs at the north and south entrances of the 152 acre parcel, in preparation for an upcoming “ribbon cutting”, celebrating the addition of 40 acres to the property, through donation (see Press Release, below) and the completion of the first of several planned disabled accessible hunting blinds, and trails to access the blinds. In addition to assisting the works of the association, by providing expert manpower, the students worked under the watchful eye of their instructors, as they fulfilled requirements of their education, by working in the field. r 29, 2011 - WWA is proud to announce its acceptance of a nearly 40 acre parcel in the town of Abrams, about fifteen minutes north of the Green Bay metro area, in Oconto County, just east of the split of US Highways 41 & 141, and adjacent to its current 112 acre parcel of public recreational lands, a former DOT wetland mitigation site from the '90's.
