Thanks to all of you who attended the Twin Rivers Chapter and Mississippi River Chapter banquets as well as all of our golfers who braved the not so nice May weather at our SE WI Golf Outing. The banquets were so well received that we had to purchase several more guns for each event to satisfy the attendees. Thank You for your support! Look for more details coming soon on our Mississippi River Chapter’s plans to hold a fall Smoker-type event. Let us know if you would like to join this energetic group as they move forward.  They plan on doing local habitat clean-ups this fall also so we have habitat and fund raising volunteer opportunities for you.  Thank you Todd, Dennis and Alex for your hard work and commitment.  It goes to show what a couple of energized volunteers can do to make a difference.

Speaking of commitment to the waterfowl resource, check out the pictures of the Twin Rivers Committee rescuing 9 mallard ducklings from the banquet facility’s storm sewer just hours before hosting their splendid event. No, that is certainly not me trying to climb down a storm sewer.  I am happy to report that Mother Mallard and 9 ducklings are swimming around on a water hazard on the golf course.  Here is a standing ovation for the Bentes’ Banquet and Rescue Committee of the Twin Rivers Chapter.

We are reorganizing the Baraboo River Chapter in advance of their October 26th banquet dinner fundraising event so please contact us if you would like to be part of a successful committee group of volunteers who are helping to make Wisconsin a better place to live.  Thanks for your consideration.

Sherpers SignI would like to give a big shout out to Sherpers, with locations in Hales Corners, Oconomowoc and Port Washington.  They donated a huge amount of quality merchandise that made many of our events this past spring stand out.  If you need quality camping, hiking, fishing or hunting gear give Sherpers a try.

We are looking for locations to host our UTV raffle this Summer.  Our Spring events are over and this machine is just too awesome to have sitting in a garage until the Fall Bash where it will be given away.  Please help us sell this raffle out.

Again, I’d like to give a big shout out to all of our committee volunteers for all of their efforts this during this past winter & spring banquet season.  I want to encourage all of our membership to give these individuals a big Thank You when you see them around town or at one of our events.  And, please consider joining them.

Thanks for all your past and future support.
