Rome Pond Fall Parking Lot Cleanup Day

Project: Rome Pond Wildlife Area
County: Jefferson
Project Start Date: 09/10/2016
Project End Date: 09/10/2016

RomePondAdoptSignThis past weekend, WWA volunteers completed their work at Rome Pond Wildlife Area through their Adopt-A-Wildlife Area project for the 2016 season, staging a major cleanup of all six parking areas for the wildlife area, as well as a popular fishing site at a bridge crossing, while prepping & painting two access control gates.

Congratulations and hearty thanks to the large team of volunteers who helped at one point or another in this first year, lead by WWA Waukesha County Chapter Chair Mike Alaimo and Twin Rivers/Jefferson County Chapter volunteer Tj Schnulle! The crew finished off their commitments for the year with more than 113 volunteer hours expended, and more than $360 of donated materials contributed.

The public will get to enjoy the beautiful Rome Pond area a little more this fall, due to their efforts!
