Thanks to all of you who attended our 2019 Annual State meeting last weekend. Many of you came to honor our Hall of Fame inductees and others to honor the award winning Chapters and volunteers for their efforts in 2018. They certainly deserved your applause. I want to thank all of you who stayed and attended our first banquet of this year the Fox River Chapter’s event. You saw many fantastic prizes and some new items. Thanks to the Fox River committee for hosting the State Meeting and putting on a thrilling event. Thanks for your contributions to advancing the mission of WWA with your fundraising.
Those who attended last Saturday’s banquet got to see the premier of several new items you can win at our events this year. Perhaps most exciting is your chance to win a UTV & Karavan trailer this year. We will have this vehicle at most of our events. Tickets are now on sale for $10 each or 6 for $50 with only 5,000 sold. Early sales have been brisk so order online or contact your local chapter for tickets before they are all gone. The 3 prizes on this raffle are worth over $20,000!!
The next gear you can win at our events this year is a Tactacam to mount to your shotgun or bow. You can now film your hunt from your point of view. Edit it and show it to your friends and family. You can become your own hunting show producer and star and save these memories in action for years to enjoy at home in the off season. This is an amazing item to enhance your hunting experience. Let your 
child film their first hunts and keep those memories forever. I was totally amazed by the capabilities of the 4.0 Model that we will be featuring. If I can be amazed by something new it has to be great, as this old boy has seen a lot in his time afield. Come win one for your next hunt. The nice part is this is a Wisconsin company and was more than happy to help WWA and its mission to make Wisconsin a better place to recreate.
Banquet season continues this month with the Northern Wetlands Chapter event in Rhinelander. This is one grandiose event with many fine guns and a huge gathering of great prizes. They also have a 7-Prize Class A raffle going on right now. The northern weather has been cold and not too snowy, so sales in this chapter’s bars and grills have been a bit slower than usual which means your odds to win a great prize are better than ever. You don’t need to be present to win. Get your tickets now.
We follow that banquet up 5 days later with the Valley Chapter event. This is another banquet with many guns and great prizes. They have a Kimber 1911 45 ACP pistol and $1000 Scheels gift card raffles going on also. You need not be present to win and would make a nice addition to anyone’s collection. Come join us at one or both of these events.
We have many of our Chapter’s Class A raffles online. Many of these feature multiple prizes and others feature some extremely desirable guns (that you probably wouldn’t buy for yourself, but sure would like to own). If you can’t attend every event and who can, you can still get in on a chance to win the chapter’s showcase prizes, most with great odds to win.
WWA will be at two Sport Shows this year. If you want to get your questions answered about where your dollars went last year or anything about our Association and can never find the right time when you see me at an event to ask, a Sport Show is a good time. You may have to wait your turn as I get busy there also, but I will get to you as I have all day there. It is also a good place to purchase a Class A Raffle ticket. The La Crosse show is the 7th to the 10th this month and the Milwaukee Sport Show is in March.
