Our WWA fundraising season is coming to a close, but there is still time for you to get to our final event of the year on December 5th at the Delafield Brewhouse, our 4th Annual Christmas Bash!
It seems like we were just talking about fall and now December is right around the corner, or at least the below average temps make it feel like winter is already here, right?
There are numerous ways for our WWA volunteers to continue to support your Organization after the banquets, golf outings and shooting events are over. We rely on you, our volunteers, for ideas for new sponsors, available grants or foundation sources to tap, or class A raffle opportunities – please let us know if you have a lead you would like us to follow up on, we are glad to do it!
Christmas shopping is just around the corner. It seems that more and more of us are doing the majority of our shopping online rather than fighting the lines at the big box stores. Many of us use Amazon.com as our go-to shopping format. They are quick, postage free with “prime” and have millions of products to choose from. Did you know that you can shop Amazon and support your WWA?
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop through the AmazonSmile link, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate .5% of the purchase price to the charitable organization of your choice!
Wisconsin Waterfowl Association is registered with AmazonSmile, all you need to do is go to smile.amazon.com, use your regular Amazon login info, select the “spotlight charities link”, pick WWA (of course) as your charitable organization to support and then start shopping. Every time you shop Amazon simply go to the smile.amazon.com link and the site will remember WWA to donate the 5% to!
AmazonSmile does not cost more, it just accesses the charity of your choice. Most purchases are “Smile Eligible”, in fact over the past several years of using Smile I have not had one ineligible purchase!
