Education Committee: How You Can Get Involved

By Ian Bartelmez, WWA Education Committee Chair

Welcome to WWA’s first Education Column! My name is Ian Bartelmez, I am both a WWA Board Director and the chair of our new Education Committee.

As we start on this exciting new venture for WWA, let’s cover the basic goals: we will strive to keep you, our members and volunteers, up-to-date on educational opportunities, things like the Learn To Hunt programs (LTH), Wing Shooting clinics, duck and goose banding events, the WI State Duck and Goose Calling Contest and whatever else we come up with to help make us all better conservationists, waterfowlers and stewards of our abundant natural resources.

That said, I welcome your input on what content you want to be included monthly. Q&A? Gear use? Set ups? How to build nesting structures? Load and choke info?

The sky is the limit; if it’s in our wheel house we can cover it!

I look forward to hearing from you on how you want YOUR Wisconsin Waterfowl Association to address education, so shoot me an email at ibartelmez@gmail.com, find me at an event or give me a ring at 414-779-1552.

I am looking forward to getting WWA’s education mission rolling again. Can’t wait to hear from you!
